a scrap longcast is pretty much unheard of , why not just ring shimanos service centre and have them mail you the part or better still send it to them for service /repair . The reel is still in production so you should have no bother getting parts .

I contacted Shimano's service centre about the part yesterday, see what price they come back with. The reels have been around for a good while, it was a long shot looking for spares from a scrap one but you never know what gear lads have got

sand it smooth and rub some epoxy to it til you get sorted so it wont cost you more fish lad.
