Hi All

Well it now time to start posting catch reports for 2010

W/C 10/03/10

We only had 2 anglers this week –a return visit from Ian Jackson from Maldon who came over with his brother John to celebrate his 50^th birthday

The days were cold and the nights were colder with temperatures dropping to – 8 until Thursday night and then it got warmer.

The 1^st carp was landed within 2 hours a stunning 40lbs 4oz mirror – Well done John on smashing your p.b. by more than 14lbs, what a birthday present.

The total for the week for both of them was 26 fish landed (12 for Ian and 14 for John) and lost 6

They returned home very happy with their captures.

Be sure to look out for next weeks report – The fishing is going mental another new lake record to tell you about.

Catch report for w/c 17/03/10

WHAT A WEEK!!!!!

Gordon had his mates Neil and Dan Wilson and Ally come to join him for a few days fishing before the season really kicks of on 03/04/10.

The fishing was incredible with 2 x 50lber’s being banked – that’s a total of 4 x 50lbers (up to 55lb) being landed since December.

Gordon fished for 5 nights and landed 24 fish including 5 x 30lbs up to 38lbs

Neil only fished for 4 nights and landed 10 fish – he had his best ever session as he landed a new lake record mirror of 51lbs 8ozs on Monday morning only to land a 50lbs 12oz common on Wednesday morning – with a brace of 50’s he was well happy. Well done Matey.

Dan only fished for 4 nights and landed 10 fish including 2 x 30’s up to 38lbs 8ozs.

Ally fished for 6 nights and ended up with 20 fish, including a 41lbs 6ozs, 39lbs 10ozs, 39lbs, 30lbs 8ozs mirror.

Total weight for the session was just under 1500lbs – 64 fish being landed – a great result for this time of year. (some small fish were transferred to the stock lake)

BLAVET VALLEY LAKES – Catch report w/c 03/04/10

Hi All

What a week – another record breaker 83 carp up to 49lbs and 2 sturgeon landed.

Mark Wilson from Brentwood , his non-angler wife Alison and their 2 sons Jamie and Adam came back for their 8 th week with us. They had their best week ever, Mark landed 23 up to 39lbs.

Jamie, only fished for 4 days landed 11 up to 34lbs 8ozs a new p.b. on his birthday (hope you enjoyed your cake). Adam was desperate to land his first 30+ - not only did he land a 36lb mirror and a 33 lb common but landed a stunning 44lbs 8oz mirror. well done.

John Smith from Manchester, his non-angler wife Sharon and their son Jack flew over to join us for their 1st visit and hopefully to improve their 20lbs p.b. They ended up with 21 carp 4 x 30+ up to 37lbs and a mirror of 41lbs landed by 13 year old Jack – well done!!!

We also had Harry Fusedale and Lloyd Buckley from Essex fly over for their 1 st visit wanting a 30+. Within 2 hours Harry had a superb 49lbs mirror and only managed another 3 fish and admitted he should have listened to us. Lloyd fishing in the next swim landed 20 carp including 4 x 30+’s up to 37lbs 8ozs. Well done

Well done all of you – see you all next year

This week has also had an amazing start – 4 anglers landing 50+ carp so far including a 51lb 5ozs common – 5 x 50+’s this season

I'm headin over with Matt and 2 others in June and cant wait. Mouthwatering stuff. By the sounds of things I dont think I'll have much of a problem in beating my pb of 17lb 15oz. See you in 7 weeks.

BLAVET VALLEY LAKES – catch report w/c 10/04/10

Hi All.

What can we say – only another record breaking week !!!!!

A new lake record mirror 52lbs 8ozs (6 x 50+’s this season)

86 fish landed 84 carp and 2 sturgeon

2 x 50+’s - 4 x 40+’s - 18 x 30+’s.

We had 4 anglers from the Guildford area join us for the 5 year running.

Top rod was Dave Miller, he had 46 runs and landed 39, including a new p.b. a stunning 51lbs 5oz common (he caught his p.b. mirror of 49lbs here 3 years ago) he also managed 47lbs 9oz and 40lbs 9oz mirrors, a 34lbs 5oz common and mirrors of 35lbs 14oz, 34lbs 8oz, 31lbs 10oz, 30lbs 10oz. – nice one Dave.

Darren Dixon landed 13 carp – 40lbs 9oz, 38lbs 11oz, 34lbs 6 oz mirrors and a common of 32lb 10oz

Barry landed 22 carp - 41lbs 8oz (new p.b.) mirror 4 x 30+ mirrors and broke his p.b. common twice with a 36lber and a 35 lber.

Steve managed to land 9 carp up to 36lbs 14oz

Gordon spent 2 nights fishing with the guys and landed 3 carp – a new lake record mirror of 52lbs 8oz, and 36lb 4oz, 31lb

What a terrific weeks angling – well done all of you.
