keep your rigs basic 6inch long size 4 or even 2 hooks ,fish big hallibut pellits over flaked maze, depending on where your fishing you need a shock leader 100 lb abrasive braid suits about 30 ft of it to try and combat the zebra muscles ,what part youe heading?

standard semi fixed 4 0z grippers are you going guided ,the area your probably going to fish is caspe i fished it before for cats(guided)and we had loads of fish without even fishing long hours10 am to 5 pm ,averaging about 5 cats each a day i had a flitter for the carp with the limited tackle we had with us and got a couple of runs but didnt land anything ,youl have no problems they will be well used to hallibuts down there from feeding the cats ,smaller fish than mequinnenza but a lot more of them ,have fun

Can't argue with Colins reply

a boat and a echo sounder would be a good bet as well...an hr in the boat is better than a day with a marker rod

if you don't want cats on your carp gear leave the halibuts out and go with particle and fruit boillies
