| colinhealy79, just a piont colin, not trying to upset anyone,30 years making the pilgrimage across the pond the fishing has declined, angling in ireland has declined, hospitality has declined,in the words of your own christy moore, its all me meme now and f1uk the sick and needy, this applies right acros what was once one of the most welcoming countries in the world, the sad thing is those who were entrusted with protecting and nurturing angling in ireland, were content to take there semi state fat cheques, and then fall way short of delivering sad state of affairs:affraid: |

| i think were all on the same side ,but about moving carp i think to move carp illegally now would be dumb and probally worse than knocking one on the head , but as for the lads who did it years ago l think we are feeling the benifit of it now. and about being less welcoming now than 30 years ago,i think thats just the world we live in ,20 years ago i knew everybody in the whole estate i lived in now i couldnt tell you my next door neighbors name, and id say thats the same over your neck of the woods. well i hope it gets better and thats the idea of forums like this educate each other and debate i hope you do make your annual trip and catch a bag of a lifetime, and have a few pints and a bit of craic you would be welomed by me any way all the best. |

| | bigstonze wrote: | was thinking about my annual trip to the emerald isle, yep youve got problems in ireland, dont believe for one minute its confined to the influx of foriegners, you irish boys have being moving bloody carp around for years, there both equally bad, johnny pole steals a carp for the table 1 ,carp angler moves carp which is infected, to a new water, which one will do more damage, kettle and pot come to mind,in truth your all so self righteous, all this site does is fns fns fns fns,if your own fishery board, governing body werent sat with there heads up there arses, they would be able to see whats going on,maybe a good starting piont might be with the so called carpers, who spend all there time on here preaching crap and false innuendo, you might just see the bigger picture, clueless and balless, and a sad reflection on irish angling:bounce: |
You should make your annual trip to a some of the english owned lakes in France, which have nicked carp out of the public water for their own financial gains or their must be a few lake near your home which imported some of these nicked carp from France. The trouble with the Fn's is it's not one for the table, they want the whole stock of the lake to fill the freezer and sell the rest to make more money to send home. |

| http://forum.angling-in-ireland.com/viewtopic.php?p=1298#1298 those that are caught are getting more than a slap on the wrist.the problem is catching them, lack of funds to supply fishery officers ? i dont know.bigstonze, welcome to the site,a lot of what you said is correct, irish anglers have and are still making mistakes, the fishery boards may be paying more attention to the plights of trout and salmon anglers, but i dont belive this site is all fins fins fins or self righteous posters, the subject of fns or moving/killing of fish can be very emotional for some people,i belive we should be able to discuss any topic or subject on this forum in an adult manner, clueless and balless i may be,but telling me that is not going to change me.i hope you decide to continue your annual trip, continue to post on the site and maby when you come over you could do a session with some of the other site members, regards bud _________________ it is better to keep your mouth shut and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt-mark twain

| lads i didnt mean to give the impression that carp anglers where clueless and balless, that was in fact directed at the fisheries boards, blind leading the blind,aj your spot on about the french carp, and english anglers, two wrongs dont make a right!!!!! there are some decent lads involed in angling in ireland.i believe caci are doing good things... i dont know much about abby anglers, they dont appear to be as well organsed, that could be wrong.... the more voices in clubs the,the louder you can shout, and so on,the best of luck for the future, weve decided to stay put in the uk for this year!!!! regards |
