| Match Angler, there is no syndicate. the old school lads started the whole thing and down through the years others have targeted the water, some for a day, some for a season or two and some for years. GG. _________________ "scissor me timbers" |

| Problems is a that it has been reported that there are guys who fish this lake who are approaching people looking for day ticket monies from them, they explain to the individual that they some how own and stock this lake
Now the fisheries take a dim view of this group seeing how the stock the lake illegal with carp from France
My concern is that although most of us anglers know the score about licenses and will tell these guys to take a hike there are people who don't know and have SHfb licences but are not familar enough and have been caught out
What I am trying to find out is their as is reported a group who think they are the syndicate and is it at their committee level, that they are sanctioning this illegal charging or is it a rogue individuals trying to make a fast buck |

| match angler . i would like to know where you got your info on the french stockings as you are completely wrong and entering into a legal minefield. and i would appreciate an apolgy if you can`t provide proof of your allegations of french stockings. and let me tell you now you will not find proof either as it never happened. a few lads got together to buy fish for the lake. there was two different stocks from decoy and one from the fisheries board. all legal and above board. as for people looking for day ticket money it`s news to me. i will admite that some of the hardcore local boys try hoodwinking tactics to try to turn people off the lake. i know because they tried it on me when i started fishing it back in 01. i`ve never gone down this road and have welcomed people onto the lake which over time has made me unpopular with the locals. |

| Match Angler it's like this, there is a group of lads that think they own the lake. ( the Ballinafid Mafia ) There is no syndicate on the lake and there never was. People did pay money to put fish into the lake legally a few years back. I had it back in 97/98 before most of the fish were put in, back then we us to get people coming along saying that the platform we were fishing from was theirs. Tell them where to go if they approach you and if they wanna cause hassle call the guards.
Ask Dennis about it I'm sure he will fill you in, Or is it just a coincidence that ye have the same IP address ? _________________ I don't believe in any old Jesus, If there was a God. Then why is my arse, The perfect height for kicking ? |

| If you set up where I fish, in the morning you can expect to wake up with a horses head for company. This Mullingar mafia thing is cringie in the extreme. There is nothing mafia like about these guys what so ever. Do they want you fishing there......No Will they call around for a chat......No Will your car explode in a fireball when you leave in the morning.....No Have they fished the place more than a handful of times this year........No Will they ever fish anywhere besides the Mullingar end.......No Should anyone give a continental f**k what they think......No This mafia thing realy puzzles me, just cant see it myself. If they wanted to keep things shtum they should'nt have claimed specimens out of the place down through the years. |
