| Hi Everyone - My name is Merv and I'm an addict... I love fishing... even when I'm not fishing I'm thinking about it....Had the pleasure of meeting Vinnie, Paul? and Gordon at Ballnafid about 6 weeks ago (just after my wife gave birth to our beatiful daughter) and they recommended I check out this site... I live in Enfield, Meath. I have done f-all carp fishing, all my fishing to date is coarse (pole/ledgering on canals, small ponds etc.) particularly for Tench Pike & Bream. I also enjoy fly fishing occasionally. But Carp is a different beast for me....
any advice on what gear to buy and where to buy it (Anglers World?)... I am on a budget but I dont want to buy a pile of crap that wont last either... Suggestions anyone..
Also any other good spots to fish around my general location!!!
Also any good sources of info on how to set-up rigs, using PVA bags, spods etc........ books or DVD's ..... prob best way is on the bank and annoy a fellow angler huh!!!!
Look forward to hearing from ye'all. |

| | Any of the carp mags, total-carp, carp uk ect is always a good start for learning rigs! They also advertise for alot of tackle companys across the water that may also help you on gear, as for carp waters in that part of the coutry iv no idea, but you cant beat the old word of mouth info!! Hope this helps:D |

| | You should find plenty of information on the net. Just be warned read up on carp fishing before you buy any tackle so as to know what you need. |
