| I met John in Maynooth when I dabbled a bit and I always looked forward to having a chat with him, he had a great way at looking at life, and was always in great humor. Ten minutes in his company and you were smiling. He once told me that he wanted to catch one particular carp and he would regularly tell me that he had seen it and how big it was getting, he had named it Betty, I asked him why did he name it Betty, the reply was, " It Dan's Ma's name !" Rest in peace John ! |

| On behalf of myself and the rest of my family. I would like to thank all those who posted on here for John. I know it couldnt have been easy for many of you given the nature of the subject but the comfort it gave to my mother, father and the rest of the family is something i cant put into words. Johns passing has left a hole not only in our family but also in the Carp Fishing World and i think every Lake from here to France will be all the poorer for not having John on the bank anymore.
Rest in Peace brother you will never be forgotten.
