| Hi All, Due to the declining interest over recent years , we the commitee if the A.A.I.C.C. have formerly disbanded the I.C.C. section of the club. The original Abby Anglers section of the club will continue to run but on a smaller scale. as in we will have a closed membership of no more than twenty committed anglers. We now have control of various waters. That need work done on them, we shall be concentrating our efforts on one water that needs most work done to improve it to make it easier to fish. ie. swims, stands . car park etc. Anyone that wants to join please pm me, with your name , phone number and address. We will get back to you when we have all the places filled. Looking forward to hearing from you. Does this mean that ye are no longer a Carp Club ??? If so can I take it ye won't be stocking carp into the waters ye have . I'm just trying to find out what is the story with the club as anyone I ask seems to be very scetchy on whats happening. _________________ I don't believe in any old Jesus, If there was a God. | As far as I know the abby anglers started off as a fishing club not a carp club but I could be wrong. ICC stands for the Irish carp club so if | Quote: | we the commitee of the A.A.I.C.C.have formerly disbanded the I.C.C. section of the club.

That gave me and others the impression that the carp side of things was gone from the club. I'm not trying to start off any shite but I have been getting PM's from members of this forum asking me whats the story with the club so I said I'd ask. _________________ I don't believe in any old Jesus, If there was a God. | I am newish to this site and I am really getting back into my carpin' I am interested in joining and becoming involved in a carp club and the outings and getting to know you guys. There is a lot of work to be done to get the carp scene and waters up to the standard we would all like to be enjoying in Ireland. Abby is the only open club I have come accross, the others on here are closed syndicates. So I am interested in joining Abby if there is still to be a carpin side to it. ( having said all that, I would also go to the dark side of the moon for some good tenchin ) _________________ The Gods do not deduct from a man's allotted time the hours spent fishing . . . |

| hi tom abby was always a carp club, the icc was added on when the lakes looked like closing down due to the french fish arriving remember.we used the abby club to get things running quickly remember. I left due to lack of help earler this year. The ICC was ment to be an all Ireland club open to everyone ,but it never really got the backing it needed so the lads have gone back just to the abby anglers. I still think there should be an ICC with the right people behind it a lot more still could be done to improve carp fishing in ireland. It,s all fine an dandy when the fishing is good but when something goes wrong then we,ll all cry wolf . we have no structure in place if say a big fish kill happened in this country ,So you can have all that gear an no were to fish .now there a taught ? A that will never happen you say .But could it.THE choise is yours! I rest my case:cyclops: vinnie An i don,t care about spelling |
